Contractual Liability: A Moral Dilemma

jurisprudence general beginner case_analysis

Akriti, a renowned painter, enters into an agreement with her art dealer, Vikram, for a one-year contract. The contract stipulates that Vikram will sell a minimum of 50 paintings of Akriti's work at Rs. 50,000 each. Vikram agrees to pay Akriti 75% of the sale price. However, after 6 months, Vikram starts selling the paintings at Rs. 60,000 each, without consulting Akriti. This results in Vikram earning more profit than he would have if he stuck to the original agreement. Akriti feels betrayed and wants to know if she has any legal recourse.

Bhai log, kya remedies apply hain? Kya Akriti aapko kisi aur terms par agree kar sakati hai?
