Contract Law ka Bahut Sahi Bada Haath

contract clat_pg beginner rant

I'm still not over the fact that we spend an entire semester trying to memorize the differences between ' offer', 'acceptance', and 'consideration'. Like, what's the point of all this? Why can't they just make it simple? "Hey, you want to buy a house from me? Give me money; I give you house." Voila! Contract created. But no, we have to deal with the nuances of 'offer' being a 'promise to contract' and not a 'promise to do something', and how 'acceptance' has to be 'unqualified' and 'unrestricted'... My head is still spinning from the 'Mitsubishi Motors Corp v. Soler Cranes Ltd' case. And then comes the icing on the cake - 'illegality' and 'public policy'...
