Contract Law in My Daily Life
contract clat_pg beginner law_vs_lifeI remember my dad's auto-rickshaw driver friend who got into a fight with another owner over a contract they signed 5 years ago. The friend claimed the other guy didn't give him a rent increase as per their agreement, but the other guy said, "Arre, ye toka tha hi (you agreed to it)!" Now, they're in court, and it's a mess. That's when I learned about Specific Performance in Contract Law (Section 16 of the Specific Relief Act, 1963). If a contract specifies that a particular act must be performed, like paying rent, you can sue for specific performance. It's like, 'You agreed to give me 20 extra bucks per month; now give it to me or face the music!' Real-world example of CLAT PG/AILET PG relevance right here.

Yaar, contract law is everywhere! I mean, even when I order food online, there's a contract between me, the food joint, and the delivery guy. We're all agreeing to terms - the food will be delivered, I'll pay the price, and the guy will get his commission. It's all about understanding the terms and conditions. My friend failed to read the T&C's once and got charged extra for something he didn't order. Don't be like my friend, always read the fine print!
