Constitutional Supremacy: Khichdi ki Theory
constitutional clat_pg advanced analogy_postImagine you're at a street food stall, and the chef is all like 'mujhe yeh khichdi pass karoge ya nahin?' but the owner says 'chup chaap, main khichdi pasand karta hoon'. Now, who's right? The chef, the owner, or the law that says 'khichdi ko pass karne ki zaroorat hai'? Same thing with the Constitution. It's the law that says 'main aapko apne pasand ke laws ko pasand karna hai'. But sometimes, the Supreme Court comes and says 'arre, yeh khichdi pasand nahin hai, yeh rules pasand karoge'. That's Constitutional supremacy - the highest law in the land takes precedence over everything else, just like the khichdi rules the street food stall.
