I failed miserably for the past two Bar exams, and this year I'm determined to get it right. My problem was that I was treating Con Law like a dry subject – memorize the cases, regurgitate the answers. But the minute I applied the same approach to the exam, I hit a wall. I was spending hours studying, but retaining nothing. So, I changed my strategy. I'm now breaking down the cases into smaller chunks, identifying the key concepts and relationships between them. I'm also making flashcards and concept maps to help solidify my understanding. Another thing I'm doing differently is practicing essay questions with specific scenarios, so I'm preparing for the kind of questions that might come up in the actual exam. It's been a few weeks, and I feel like I'm making progress – slowly, but surely
