Constitutional Law Chokes Me Again
constitutional clat_ug beginner experience_shareI had a 7 AM mock test today for CLAT UG, and it was a complete disaster in Constitutional Law. I got 23 marks out of 50, and I could feel myself slipping down the rank list. The questions were mostly from Part III, Articles 14, 19, and 21. I got stuck on question 8, which asked whether the right to life with dignity under Article 21 includes the right to a decent and clean environment. I knew the right answer was 'yes', but I couldn't recall any landmark judgments to back it up. I wasted 5 precious minutes trying to find a relevant case, but my mind went blank. I scored a pathetic 5/15 in this section, and I'm so frustrated. Why can't I retain these concepts?

Arre, don't say that! Ye Constitutional Law toh hume bahut complex lagta hai. But trust me, once you get the hang of it, it's quite straightforward. Try breaking down Art 14, 19, and 21 separately and see how they overlap. Also, recall the basic structure doctrine and see how it applies to various cases. Practice makes perfect, kya na?
Abey, chill! You're not alone, everyone struggles with Constitutional Law at some point. Have you tried making a flowchart of the hierarchy of Courts and their jurisdictions? Sometimes visualising the structure helps. Additionally, break down complex topics like Separation of Powers into smaller, manageable chunks. Also, don't forget to read the case laws related to a particular topic, ek ek case se shuru karo (start with one case). Remember, practice makes perfect, so keep practicing those problems!
