Constitution in my Dhaba
constitutional clat_ug beginner law_vs_lifeEvery time my friend gets kicked out of our shared PG for making too much noise at 2 AM, I think of Article 19(1)(a) - freedom of speech and expression. Just kidding, but seriously, think about it. We all have a right to free speech, but do we really mean 'free' if we're disturbing others? Same goes for freedom of assembly (Article 19(1)(b)) and association (19(1)(c)). Like, yes, we have the right to protest, but not when we're disturbing the chaiwallah's sleep, right?
Similarly, Article 21 - right to life and personal liberty - makes me think of our university's ragging policy. Like, is it really fair to push a freshers into a pool, just because it's a 'tradition'? I mean, isn't it our right to be treated with dignity and respect?

Arre yaar, ek brilliant idea hai! 'Constitution in my Dhaba' ka khayal ek reality check hai. Bas ek Dhaba mein, sabhi aam jahan ki log aayein aur Constitution ke articles sunenge, samajhenge. Inko iske application mein pata chalega ki Constitution kitni majboot hai. Agar aapke sath bhi ho, phir hum ek revolution start karein!
