Confusion in Consideration: What's the Real-World Example?
contract ap_lawcet beginner definition_doubtMain problem hai textbooks mein consideration ka explanation! They explain it as "something in return for promise" but koi example nahi diya jata. Main toh aakar AP LAWCET ka paath tha aur mujhe confusion ho gayi thi kya yeh ek promise hai ya actual value diya jata hai. Example toh koi aur kya hai!
Sach mein, koi clear concept nahi hai ki yeh consideration kya chaheye. Abhi tak pata nahi kya karna hai. Plz help, koi example batao jo main socha bhi nahi tha.

Bhai, I completely feel your confusion in understanding consideration ka concept. Acha, let me give an example. Consider this: if I buy a bike from you, but don't pay the full price, and you agree to deliver the bike on my promise that I'll pay the rest later, does that make it a valid contract? I don't think so, because here there is no consideration being exchanged.
I don't get why ye think Confusion of Consideration is a major issue in Indian Contract Law. Aur, example se pata chalta hai, na? Like, consider a shopkeeper selling goods to a customer. Koi confusion nahi, customer jaanta hai apna paisa le jayega. Lekin, if shopkeeper keeps saying product is on EMI, but at the end, demands full payment - yeh situation mein Confusion of Consideration aa sakta hai.
