Confusion around Section 25 of Evidence Act

Mera issue yeh hai ki kuch books kehte hain ki yeh Section 25 kaa adhikaar hai ki "A witness cannot be compelled to answer any question tending to show that he has committed or been guilty of a crime or made a false statement, unless that crime or false statement has been admitted by him".
