Confusing Custody Clauses

Yaar samajh nahi aaya... I've been trying to understand the difference between 'care and control' and 'custody', but honestly, it's all getting mixed up in my head. Like, in the Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act, 1956, 'care and control' refers to the person who takes care of the child's daily needs, right? But then, in some cases, we see 'custody' being used as a synonym. But isn't 'custody' more about the right to make important decisions for the child, just like in the US? Or is it the same thing? Please help, someone... like, isn't this similar to how Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's kids were handled in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham? Or am I just getting Bollywood fever?
