Confusing Concepts in Constitutional Law: Basic Structure and Judicial Review

constitutional bar_exam beginner doubt

Yaar samajh nahi aaya, kya main hi pagal hu? I'm having a hard time distinguishing between the basic structure of the Constitution and judicial review. Both concepts seem to be related to the power of the judiciary, but how exactly are they different? In the case of Keshavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala (1973), the Supreme Court held that Parliament cannot amend certain fundamental features of the Constitution, which is often cited to illustrate the basic structure doctrine. But then, in the case of I.R. Coelho v. State of Tamil Nadu (2007), the court struck down certain amendments to the Constitution, which seems to be an exercise of judicial review, but also appears to be an application of the basic structure doctrine. Please help, I'm so confused. Kya fundamental features se judiciial review ka kya relation hai?
