Choking on TPA - Lessons from a CLAT UG Disaster

property clat_ug advanced failure_story

Main problem thi, I thought I understood TPA (Transfer of Property Act) theory. I mean, I spent countless nights reading Rangnekar and studying TPA questions. But, as I started attempting practice questions, I realized my understanding was shallow. I'd get the concept, but applying it to a specific scenario would confuse me. I'm not alone, right? Many of us struggle with TPA. I went from 70% to 30% in TPA questions in a few weeks. Panic set in, and I started burning out. Then I realized, I was over-relying on memorizing formulas and not practicing enough application-based questions. I've switched my strategy now - focus on understanding principles, and applying them to different scenarios using past years' questions. It's slow and painful, but I'm seeing improvement.
