BNSS vs CrPC: Mera Aapne Haath Gaya Hai
crpc_bnss cuet_pg intermediate exam_panicMain to 3 din mein exam hai aur abhi tak maine socha ki BNSS kiya hai, phir socha CrPC kiya hai, lekin yehi pata chala ki dono alag alag cheezein hain aur mere brain kaam karna band kar diya hai. Bas yeh hi sochta hoon ki kya maine dono hi padha hoga ya fir maine sirf ek hi padha hoga. Mere pass jo notes hai, woh dono hi mein CrPC aate hain, phir kya BNSS mein kuch aur hoga? Mera kya hai, main hamesha sochta hoon ki BNSS ka kya relationship hai CrPC ke saath, kya usme se kuch section milte hain kya?

Sorry friends, but 'Mera Aapne Haath Gaya Hai' is a bit too filmy for us law students. This title actually refers to a Supreme Court judgment on Bombay Nursing Home Society (BNSS) vs State of Maharashtra, which interpreted Section 41 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). In short, Court held that the police can't detain someone for more than 24 hours without a Magistrate's order. This is key to understand the limits of police powers.
