Bail vs Suspension of Sentence: Kab kya difference hai?

crpc_bnss judiciary intermediate doubt

Yaar, main samajh nahi paya. CrPC 389 aur BNSS 389 ki baat karte hain. Suspension of sentence kya hai, aur inka relation bail se kya hai, kya nahi. Toh main ek baat samajh nahi paya. Suspension of sentence ka matlab hai ki case khataam hone ke bad, judge sentence ko suspend kar sakta hai, jisse accused ko jail nahi jaana pada. Lekin yah kya hai, jo difference hai, woh kya hai? Abhi tak main samjh nahi paa raha. CrPC 389 ki baat karte hain, to inke shabdon mein yeh bataya hai ki jail mein hain toh suspension of sentence de sakte hain, lekin yeh kya hai.

Bhai, ek baar meh sochta hoon, Suspension of Sentence aur Bail dono hi to release se jude hote hain, lekin kya farak? Suspension of Sentence ka matlab hota hai ki sentence delay ho rahi hai, par jail meh bas baithne se pehle ja raha hai. Bail peh to to aap free hote hain, fir bhi court date par aana padta hai. Kya aap logon ko Suspension dekhne ka majha hai?

Hey mates, let's not get this mixed up. Bail aur suspension of sentence don't mean same thing. Suspension of sentence means the sentence is postponed, can be lifted & you're free till then. Bail means you're released on surety, not because sentence is suspended. If you breach bail, you're back to prison. If your suspension is revoked, you're still not guilty, so koi difference hai in implications!
