Article 19(1)(a) vs Fundamental Right to Free Speech

constitutional bar_exam beginner question

Bhai log, jab tum log mock tests dete ho, I'm at my shift. Okay, so Article 19(1)(a) gives us freedom of speech, right? Lekin, if someone spreads hate speech through words, is it still protected under this Article? Aur, if not, which part of the Constitution is responsible for regulating this? I've seen it mentioned that the state can impose reasonable restrictions on this fundamental right, but what are some examples? Jab koi politician kisi party ki meeting pe hate speech ke liye logon ko incite karta hai kya vo freedom of speech ka hissa hai ya nahin? Kisi example se sahi samajh aaye?

Help, guys!

"Article 19(1)(a) aur free speech ke fundamental adhikaron ke beech ek jatil debate hai. Article 19(1)(a) mein free speech ki guarantee hai, lekin iski sambandhit limitations bhi hain. Yadi kisi speech ka use hinsa, satarkata ke khilaf khatra ya anya kanooni paristhitiyon mein hota hai, toh yeh free speech ke adhikaron ke khilaf ho sakta hai.
