AILET's Obsession with CPC is Killing Its Students' Soul
cpc ailet advanced hot_takeI've always maintained that AILET's overemphasis on Civil Procedure Code is a recipe for disaster. The exam focuses too much on rote memorization of sections, rules, and orders, with little to no contextual understanding. This has led to a generation of law students who can quote CPC from memory but can't apply it practically or think critically. Moreover, the exam format and syllabus fail to prepare students for real-world legal problems, which are rarely, if ever, governed by a single CPC provision. It's high time AILET revised its approach and taught CPC in the context of other laws, case laws, and social realities. Otherwise, we'll keep producing lawyers who are proficient at spouting jargon but clueless about actual law practice.

"Arey, main to aagay bataata hoon kya. AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) ke questions mein CPC (Code of Civil Procedure) ka adhik jaadav hai, isliye students ko lagta hai ki yeh unki zindagi mein jaan le rhe hain. Lekin, ismein koi shor hai. Jo bhi subject hota hai, use samajhna ati hota hai.
Arre yaar, I think we're overdoing this CPC thing. AILET syllabus is designed to give us a broad understanding of legal concepts, not to turn us into CPC experts. We need to focus on other areas too, like constitutional law, torts, and contracts. Don't get me wrong, CPC is important, but can't we just get a decent grasp of it, not obsess over it?
