I scored 62% in AILET company law mock test, feeling quite low on confidence. One question asked me: In the case of EBM v. AP, what's the legal status of a private limited company.

Easy question right? Well, I had no idea that in this 1994 case, the Supreme Court held that an unincorporated association with more than 10 members is a partnership, not a private limited company. I had studied Salomon v. Salomon's case, which stated the exact opposite, so I got it wrong.

I also messed up on the concept of Related Party Transactions under section 184 of the Companies Act, 2013. I got confused between the criteria for approval of an independent director for a related party transaction and that for a transaction where a related party is a person related to a director.
