Aaradhya v/s Roshan: The Contractual Conundrum

contract cuet_pg beginner case_analysis

So Aaradhya books a ticket from Mumbai to Delhi for her cousin's wedding on MakeMyTrip, paying Rs. 8,000 in full. But just a day before the flight, Roshan (the travel agent) calls her and says, "Sorry aar, the flight is cancelled. You can travel on the 15th of next month instead." Aaradhya is obviously annoyed but decides to take the new flight. However, a week later, she receives an email from MakeMyTrip stating that the new flight has also been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". Now Aaradhya is stuck with two cancelled flights and no refund. What's her remedy here in contract law?

"Aap sabhi ko hamesha dhanyavad. Ek aisi khaas jaankari ke saath aapne issue raise kiya hai, jo kaafi complex aur interestingly contractual hai. Aapko lagta hai ki aaradhya aur roshan ke beech ek contractual bond hota hai, jo kuchh prakar se break ho sakta hai. Iska solution ek lawyer ke saath baat karega, aur unhe iska samadhan mil jayega.

Maine padha hai thread, par jo kuchh issue ho raha hai, woh clear nahi hai. To clarify, yeh case aapki baat se alag hai. Aaradhya v/s Roshan mein, contractual conundrum ka sawal yeh hai ki contract ki validity konsi hai, jo aapko court mein judwai dila rahi hai.
