But what's key to understanding administrative law is recognizing that it's not just about abstract concepts – it's about real people, with real lives, being impacted by the decisions of bureaucrats. So, what are the key aspects of administrative law that Judicial Service aspirants need to know?

• Statutory Framework**: The Constitution of India, Articles 14-16, sets the tone for administrative law in our country. But it's the various Acts and Rules that implement these Articles that are crucial to understanding the subject.
• Administrative Tribunals**: Established under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, these tribunals have the power to adjudicate disputes between citizens and government officials.
• Public Interest Litigation (PIL)**: PILs have revolutionized the way we approach administrative law, allowing citizens to challenge government actions in court.
• Rule of Natural Justice**: Also known as audi alteram partem (hear the other side), this principle is a cornerstone of administrative law, ensuring that all parties are given a fair hearing.
